I often hear from Junior Military Officers (JMOs) considering a transition to business that that they just do not have time to think about or research this decision. Many that have made the decision tell me they just don’t have the time to prepare for the transition. I hear lots of reasons for this. Such as:

- I need to take care of my team
- I have an upcoming training exercise
When I ask them the when they plan to make time for this, they tell me when their life or military work slows down. I have been partnering with JMOs for over 15 years, and I can tell you right now, it WILL NOT slow down. It might slow down right before you start terminal leave but that it too late!
