The June 2013 Career Conference

Tomorrow the Cameron-Brooks team and our June candidates will arrive in Austin, TX to kick off our third Career Conference of 2013.  We continue to see strong demand from our client companies looking for standout, well prepared JMOs.  The June Career Conference is shaping up to be another great one and for those who will be attending the August Career Conference in a few months, all indications look like it will be a great Conference as well.

To echo my colleague, Joel Junker’s earlier blog post regarding preparation, the average months the June Candidates have been in the Cameron-Brooks program has been 10+ months and over 30% of the June Candidates have been in the program for at least 16 months.  For any JMO transitioning or thinking of transitioning to Corporate America, I highly recommend starting your learning and preparation process as soon as you and read Joel’s blog from a week ago to gain insight into some of the things you can do now to learn and prepare for a successful transition.

Sample industries for the June 2013 conference include: Consulting, Medical Device, Consumer Products, IT/Networking, Health Care, Industrial, Oil & Gas Exploration, and more.  Sample companies include: Boston Scientific, ExxonMobil, Campbell Soup Company, Koch Industries, Ernst & Young, Gallo Winery, HCA Healthcare, International Paper, Linde Group, JPMorgan Chase, Unilever, and many more.

Sample positions include: Regional Director, Field Clinical Specialist, Marketing Pricing Analyst, Corporate Audit, Reliability Engineer, Sales Engineer, R&D Engineer, Manufacturing Supervisor, General Manager, Senior Consultant, Information Technology Leader, Operations Manager, Project Engineer, Associate Sales Consultant, and many more.    As we finalize the interview schedules, the average number of interviews will be 12+ per candidate, which remains inline with our previous Career Conferences in 2012 and 2013.

Continue to follow the blog. Next week, I will write a post on the results from the June 2013 Career Conference.
