JMO Career Conference August 2019 & The Value of Cameron-Brooks

The Cameron-Brooks team will travel to Chicago on Thursday to kick off our fourth JMO Career Conference of 2019!  We are finalizing the interview schedules as I type this, and we expect the average number of interviews per candidate to be 13+!

If you were to poll the candidates attending our August Conference and ask them what they’ve found valuable in their partnership with Cameron-Brooks, I believe you’d find them saying things like the reading program, or the self-analysis tools in our Development & Preparation Program, the resume building, or the live interview preparation workshops they attend when we travel to respective bases/posts.  All of those would be very valid, but perhaps the most valuable part of our partnership for them is yet to come.  It will be the breadth and depth of the opportunities they will see at the Conference and the chance to do a true career search across multiple industries, career fields, companies, positions, locations, etc.

Often when I speak to our candidates after their Conference, I hear things like “I never even knew that company existed“, or “I never thought I’d be a fit for that industry”, or “I didn’t know I could be qualified to interview for that position.”   The true value of a Cameron-Brooks partnership is the ability to be well prepared to interview and legitimately compete for high quality positions across a broad spectrum of opportunities at the same time.  Through this process, they are in a much better position to find the best long term fit for themselves, their families, etc. than simply interviewing for a few “one-off” jobs, often done serially.
