April 2021 Career Conference & The Power of the Cameron-Brooks Network

Tomorrow we will officially kick off the April 2021 Career Conference, our second of the year.  As we put the finishing touches on the Conference, we expect the average number of interviews per candidate to be ~11.5.   These interviews will be with a variety of industries, companies, career fields, positions, locations, etc.

We have a great lineup of companies and opportunities attending the virtual April Career Conference with over 45 hiring groups and 34 distinct companies, 5 of which are brand new to Cameron-Brooks! Additionally, we have 22 Cameron-Brooks alumnus among the other company recruiters attending to recruit for OPEN positions on behalf of their companies. And all of this while still enduring an economy dealing with a pandemic!

I think the Cameron-Brooks network is a key factor when it comes to helping our JMO candidates launch careers.  Cameron-Brooks is far and away the oldest JMO recruiting firm, and frankly oldest military recruiting firm, period at 50+ years.  Now, oldest does not always mean best.  If you were to offer me a 10 year old television versus a brand new one, there is no question I’m taking the brand new one!  But with 50+ years in the industry (and basically pioneering the veteran recruiting industry), Cameron-Brooks brings a network that is second to none.

Another important facet of our network? The recruiters in attendance are typically the decision makers, the hiring managers, or even executives within the company.  For this Conference, two new companies are attending because their CEOs are Cameron-Brooks alumni!  And we are not talking about CEO’s of a 10-person company but rather multi-billion dollar organizations.  Sample position titles of the recruiters attending include Senior Director, Senior Vice President of Sales; Director of Process Development; Plant Manager; Director of Capital Projects & Facilities Engineering; Vice President Operations; Associate Director of Marketing; Senior Vice President North America; Chief Information Officer; Co-Founder & Principal, just to name a few.
