June 2014 Career Conference

Yesterday the Cameron-Brooks team and our June candidates arrived in Austin, TX to begin our third Career Conference in 2014 and our last one in Austin, TX, at least for the next couple of years.  As I write this blog post, the latest unemployment rate numbers have just been released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.  The National unemployment rate remains at 6.3% while the unemployment rate for those over 25 years old with a college degree (i.e., the JMO demographic) is now at 3.2%.  What is really interesting is there were 217,000 jobs created in May and from the article I just read, those new jobs created means  the U.S. economy has finally regained all the jobs lost during the recession and begun to head toward new peaks.  While things are certainly not perfect, it is a good sign and our June Career Conference candidates will average just over 12 interviews at this Conference, again representing this positive trend.  I’ve included the link to the article below if you’d like to read it:

Sample industries for the June 2014 Career Conference include: Consulting, Medical Device, Construction, Mining,  Financial, Industrial, Oil & Gas, Facilities Maintenance, Consumer Products, High Technology, Automotive, and more.
