Keys To Interview Success: January 2023 Career Conference (Episode 167)

Welcome back for a special episode where we will give you keys to interview success! Pete Van Epps interviewed 3 of our most recent alumni from the January 2023 Career Conference for our post-January 2023 Conference review webcast. At the time of the interview, all three alumni had already accepted an offer of employment. We really enjoy doing this type of episode because it gives those who are planning to attend a future Career Conference (or those who are curious about the details of the conference) a “peek over the fence” to how exactly everything went down.

Our featured alumni included:

In this episode, Pete spends a few minutes going over some facts and figures about the January 2023 Conference as well as sharing some of the companies that attended the Career Conference and the types of roles they represented. He also shares the interview schedule of a candidate from the Conference. Hearing the breadth of companies that just one officer interviewed with is very interesting. The variety of interviews, coupled with the fact that no two officers had an identical schedule, highlights that the career conference is personally tailored to fit the officer’s needs and wants.

Some of the specific topics that were covered included:

    • The biggest surprise from the Conference
    • The most beneficial thing you did to prepare for the interview
    • Differences between the interviews at the Conference and in the Follow-up process

The panel fielded questions from the live audience along the way, which really brought a ton of perspective to the conversation.
