Chuck joined Cameron-Brooks in 1994 and is the company President/CEO. Chuck provides leadership to all aspects of the company.
For over two decades, he has successfully introduced JMO recruiting to leading corporations in a variety of industries throughout the business world. He has been quoted in business periodicals such as
The Wall Street Journal and FORTUNE magazine and is recognized as an expert in the JMO recruiting industry. He enjoys traveling to military bases to work with active-duty officers as they prepare for their transitions to Corporate America. He spends a lot of time coaching and mentoring Cameron-Brooks alumni as they navigate and grow their post-military careers in the business world. Known for his public speaking abilities, Chuck approaches his work with a passion for helping people and organizations maximize their potential and success. Chuck graduated from Bucknell University. He is originally from the Washington, D.C. area, and lives in Fredericksburg, Texas, with his wife and three children.
Joel joined Cameron-Brooks in 1999 after serving as an Armor officer in the U.S. Army. Joel is a Partner at Cameron-Brooks and leads the company's recruiting team.
His work touches virtually every part of the business, including managing recruiting, working with client companies, and traveling throughout the United States and overseas meeting with junior military officers. Joel is an expert at interviewing and a gifted teacher and coach. He has helped thousands of JMOs develop their skills and prepare for successful transitions to the business world. He also provides career coaching and mentoring to Cameron-Brooks alumni throughout the business world to help them grow their skills and maximize their career success. Joel is originally from Minnesota, graduated magna cum laude in finance from Notre Dame, and lives in the Hill Country with his wife and four children.
Mary Lou White
Mary Lou is the operational backbone of Cameron-Brooks. She has been with the company since our inception and has over 30 years of JMO recruiting experience.
Mary Lou has helped thousands of Junior Military Officers make successful transitions to Corporate America. She works closely with our active duty officers as they approach their transitions, helping them to define their career options and prepare for the Career Conference. Mary Lou manages our Career Conference operations center, develops the interview scheduling process, and is a key member of our follow-up team. Originally from Northern California, she is a graduate of UC Berkeley and lives in Fredericksburg, Texas with her husband.
Rob helps lead our Junior Military Officer recruiting efforts, traveling to military bases throughout the United States and overseas to identify top quality leadership talent.
He also works closely with our active duty candidates to help them prepare for transitions to the private sector. Rob is a former Army Armor officer and company commander. Before joining Cameron-Brooks, Rob spent 5 years working for Cisco Systems in product development and operations and 5 years at Oldcastle as a Vice President of Business Development, General Manager, and Vice President of Operations. Rob has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an MBA from Southern Methodist University. Rob grew up in an Army family and has lived all over the world. He currently lives in Fredericksburg with his wife and two children. Rob joined the Cameron-Brooks management team in 2010.
Pete Van Epps
Pete joined the Cameron-Brooks management team in 2013 and helps lead our Junior Military Officer recruiting program, traveling to military bases throughout the United States and overseas to identify and recruit top quality leadership talent.
He also works closely with our active duty candidates, helping them to prepare for transitions to the business world. Pete served 6 successful years in the US Army as a Field Artillery Officer where he deployed at the beginning of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Before joining Cameron-Brooks, he spent 9 years working for Johnson & Johnson where he was a very successful sales representative, sales trainer and division sales manager. Pete has a BS in Systems Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He grew up in San Antonio, Texas and currently lives in Fredericksburg with his wife and three children.
Lauren joined Cameron-Brooks in 2011 after working as an analyst for the FBI. Her past work experiences developed skills in research and analysis, written communication, event coordination and public speaking.
At Cameron-Brooks, Lauren is a key member of our Client Services Team. She works closely with Chuck Alvarez, our company President, as well as our client companies across many industries, ensuring we provide the highest quality recruiting services to their organizations. Lauren attends all our Career Conferences and works very closely with candidates and companies in the Follow-up Process. Lauren also brings leadership and management to many of our marketing and recruiting projects. Lauren is a graduate of Texas A&M University and resides in the Texas Hill Country with her husband and two children.
Candy has been with Cameron-Brooks since 1990. With over 25 years of experience in JMO recruiting, Candy brings a wealth of knowledge to our team.
She is a Recruiting Specialist in our office where she works with Junior Military Officers at several of our key U. S. military bases to help them prepare to transition to business careers. She's also an integral part of our Career Conference team where she attends every event and plays a big role in running our Conference operation. Candy has a BS in Applied Mathematics from Texas A&M, and lives in the Texas Hill Country.
Michelle joined Cameron-Brooks in 1996 bringing 6 years of management experience with a Fortune 500 retail company.
With more than a decade of JMO recruiting experience at Cameron-Brooks, Michelle is one of our tenured Relationship Managers. She has helped hundreds of Junior Military Officers plan and prepare for successful transitions to the business world by successfully managing our recruiting efforts at some of the largest military bases across the country and in Asia. At our Career Conferences where she manages relationships with our hosting hotels, Michelle is known for her excellent organizational skills and "make-it-happen" leadership. She is a native of Texas and lives in Fredericksburg with her family.
Danielle joined the Cameron-Brooks Team in 1998 as a Recruiting Team Leader after graduating Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M.
She is our in-house resume consultant and has a key role in working with candidates prior to their Career Conference helping them build and refine their resumes. Danielle is a Fredericksburg native. When she is not helping candidates with their career goals, she spends much of her time with her husband and two children ranching and enjoying the Texas Hill Country.
Josie joined Cameron-Brooks in 2013 and is one of our Relationship Managers. She manages our Junior Military Officer recruiting operations for her region.
She works closely with Junior Military Officer candidates as they prepare for their career changes to the business world. Josie holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from Angelo State University and an MBA in Marketing from Regis University. Prior to joining Cameron-Brooks, Josie worked for 13 years in Property and Casualty Insurance for USAA. She is a native of Fredericksburg, TX where she lives with her husband and son.
Stephanie joined Cameron-Brooks in 2014 as a Recruiting Specialist. Before joining Cameron-Brooks, Stephanie was a Production Team Leader for banking and government relief programs.
She holds a degree in Criminal Justice, and excels in customer, public relations, and oral and written communication. At Cameron-Brooks, Stephanie works on upstream outreach projects and manages recruiting efforts at various military bases. She feels privileged to help Junior Military Officers plan and prepare for successful transitions to the business world.
Stephanie is a native of Fredericksburg and enjoys time with her family in the Texas Hill Country.
Kelly joined Cameron-Brooks in 2014, bringing 15 years of management experience in the retail industry.
Her background is in customer service and leadership with a focus on team building, training, mentorship, merchandising and operational excellence. Kelly is one of our Recruiting Specialists, and she manages recruiting operations at numerous military bases throughout the U.S. She is passionate about building relationships with Jr. Military Officers and helping them transition into the business world. Kelly is a native of Fredericksburg, Texas, where she enjoys spending free time with her husband, family and friends.
Julie joined Cameron-Brooks in 2014, bringing over 30 years of Human Resources and Management experience.
Julie is an integral part of many operational processes at Cameron-Brooks, to include managing our website, assisting the follow-up team after Conferences, and ensuring quality communication to our candidates and client companies. Julie is from the Chicago area and she attended college in Michigan. Julie has three daughters and lives in Fredericksburg with her husband.
Megan joined with Cameron-Brooks in 2014 bringing with her seven years of management experience.
She is a member of our Client Services Team, and aids in our pursuit to deliver quality recruiting to each of our Client Companies. Megan also works closely with candidates as well as companies throughout the Career Conferences and Follow-Up Process.
She is a graduate of Baylor University and resides in the Texas Hill Country with her husband and family.
Desiree joined Cameron-Brooks in April 2015 as a Recruiting Specialist.
Her background includes 7 years of experience in Human Resources within the petrochemical industry, and more than 15 years of administrative experience. Desiree manages recruiting operations for several bases across the U.S., helping Jr. Military Officers prepare for a transition to the business world. She lives in Fredericksburg, TX with her daughter.
Hailey joined Cameron-Brooks in 2015 after graduating from Schreiner University with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
As a Relationship Manager, Hailey manages recruiting operations for various bases across the U.S., and also ensures internal processes run smoothly.
Hailey brings skills in customer service, event coordination and office management to Cameron-Brooks, and her bright personality delights co-workers and candidates alike.
When she is not helping candidates with their career goals, Hailey enjoys spending time with her husband and family in Kerrville, TX.
Hope Drury joined the Cameron-Brooks team in 2015 after graduating Cum Laude from Texas A&M University.
Hope brings skills in customer service, marketing, team building, and event coordination to Cameron-Brooks. As a Recruiting Specialist, she manages recruiting operations for various bases across the U.S., helping Junior Military Officers prepare for a transition to the business world. Hope is a native Texan and loves traveling in her spare time.
Wendy joined the Cameron-Brooks team in May 2016 as a Recruiting Specialist after spending 24 years as a teacher, coach and counselor in public education. She also has former sales experience as a Real Estate Associate.
Wendy delights in the opportunity to build relationships with Junior Military Officers and assist them with a transition into Corporate America. Wendy earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Tarleton State University and a Master’s Degree in Education with a Counseling emphasis from Sul Ross State University.
Wendy resides in Kerrville, TX, where she enjoys spending time with her family and volunteering for the Ultimate Gift of Life.
Paloma joined the Cameron-Brooks team in 2017, bringing with her five years of luxury retail management experience including retail operations, visual merchandising, and client development.
As a Recruiting Specialist, Paloma helps manage our Junior Military Officer recruiting for various bases across the United States. She works closely with candidates throughout the Career Conference.
Paloma is a native of California, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Interpersonal Communication and Organizational Development from California State University, Long Beach. She currently lives in Fredericksburg, TX, where she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, visiting art museums, and listening to live music.
Amber joined the Cameron Brooks team in April of 2018 as a Relationship Manager after spending 11 years as a high school science teacher with a concentration on biology and chemistry.
As a Relationship Manager, Amber helps to guide officers at various bases in the United States through their development and preparation after they have been accepted into the Cameron-Brooks program. She works closely with these officers through their Career Conference and beyond.
Amber is a native of Fredericksburg, TX, where she resides with her husband and four children. She holds a degree in Biology from Texas A&M University and excels in customer relationships and mentorship. When she is not helping candidates work toward their career goals, she enjoys camping, hiking, and spending time with her family.
Christina joined Cameron-Brooks in 2018 as a Relationship Manager. She helps Junior Military Officers at numerous military bases prepare for careers in Corporate America and supports the resume building process.
Christina brings 12 years of management, administration and team-building experience in the healthcare industry, including mentorship and problem-solving strategies focused on exceptional customer care.
Christina is a Fredericksburg, TX native. When she's not helping military officers transition their careers into the business world, she enjoys reading and spending time with her husband and three children.
One of the company founders, Roger was instrumental in developing the concept of recruiting and placing JMOs into the business world during the late 1960s. Roger has appeared in FORTUNE magazine, The Wall Street Journal, CNN, ESPN, and on several TV and radio talk shows.
In 1990, Roger authored PCS To Corporate America, which is now in its fourth edition and widely recognized as the definitive career search guide for Junior Officers. Roger knows JMO recruiting thoroughly and has been called a "legend in the business" by many. Roger retired from active management of the company in 2012, but still remains an important advisor to our company leadership and Board of Directors. He also continues his work with Cameron-Brooks Alumni to help them maximize their success in the business world. When he's not traveling, Roger enjoys bird hunting and golfing as well as tending to his ranch in Fredericksburg, Texas.
René is one of our company founders and entered the JMO recruiting business in 1971. She successfully introduced the concept of hiring JMOs to leading FORTUNE 500 companies across many industries and has helped companies expand JMO hiring to multiple departments and divisions.
Though René formally retired from day-to-day leadership in our company in 2012, her enduring legacy can be found in every aspect of Cameron-Brooks. She also remains a key advisor to our company leadership team and our Board of Directors. René is originally from West Texas and is a graduate of Texas Tech University. She sits on several boards in Fredericksburg, Texas, where she has lived for over 25 years.
