The Cameron-Brooks Discussion Forums were created as a tool for military officers who are considering a career transition to the business world. The Forums provide military officers with the opportunity to interact with Cameron-Brooks alumni who have successfully transitioned to the business world. The discussion forums also provide a wealth of information about opportunities for JMOs in the business world, past lessons learned from Career Conferences, tips for preparing for a transition, and much more.
Before logging on to the discussion forums, please read our Discussion Forums Guidelines below carefully. Once you have read the guidelines and agree to the rules and regulations of the Forums, you may proceed with the Logon Instructions as outlined in the guidelines. Do not hesitate to contact us at forums@cameron-brooks.com should you have questions.
The Forums are not to be used for questions/interactions of a personal nature, dialogue with the intent to pursue employment with a specific company, networking with the intent of pursuing employment, or any type of solicitation. Any activity of this nature will result in lost privileges and could result in legal action.
(The Cameron-Brooks Experience) is where alumni who have been to a Conference post descriptions their experience with Cameron-Brooks, lessons learned from their transitions and advice for military officers considering a career transition. You will find a wealth of information in these forums. Many times, you can post responses to the recent Alumni postings and interact with the Alumni. Please remember to be patient with response times from Alumni as many of them are in the process of starting new careers and have limited time. There are no "poor" questions. All questions deserve answers. Questions of a personal nature or regarding the company represented by the alumnus are not permitted in the forums.
(Interact with Cameron-Brooks) is a Forum that you can use to post questions to anyone at Cameron-Brooks. Roger Cameron, Joel Junker, Steve Sosland and Chuck Alvarez monitor this forum and will post responses to questions in a reasonable amount of time.
(Lessons Learned from Past Career Conferences) is where we publish all our post Conference letters. After each Conference, we write a letter outlining the Conference, the successes, lessons learned, and issues that are relevant to candidates who are in the process of transitioning to the business world. We highly encourage you to read through these letters (past and present).
